St Erme School

Really Lovely Projects and Lightbox Film Company were commissioned by St Erme Primary School, near Truro, to create a project that would engage and challenge a selected group of children from years five and six.

The school wanted a project that would involve music, new technology, art and participation. The children were taken off of their usual timetable for a week and we assisted them in writing a piece of music and create lyrics based around the school anthem. James from Lightbox then led a storyboarding process and we create a play for a video to accompany the song.

The children created their own pictures and images with UV paint and we created a black light studio where the children produce their own stop-frame sequences and we used UV body paint so they could all be featured in the film.

We are very grateful to St Erme School for giving this opportunity to work with an exceptionally talented and creative group of children.

The Lostwithiel Outdoor Stage has been funded the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development. (EAFDA). With EAFDA support we have been able to procure an outstanding new outdoor events infrastructure that will support and develop the many cultural events that Lostwithiel Town continues to programme and host.
